The page is most likely designed for Raspberry Pi although the software can be installed on regular linux box too.

MiniDLNA/Upnp

sudo apt-get install minidlna
sudo nano /etc/fstab
sudo nano /etc/minidlna.conf
sudo service minidlna restart
minidlna -R  # refresh database
sudo service minidlna force-reload

The setup took only 5 minutes.

Note that each subfolders under media_dir has to have a mode 775.
